Robbery

A young man was walking home from his girlfriend’s house when he was approached by the two suspects, who “jumped him” and ultimately robbed him of his cellphone. The young man called 911 when he returned home, but the suspects had fled.

Several days later, the young man’s father saw a bunch of men standing in front of a convenience store in the general area where his son had been robbed. The father picked up his son and told him to try and identify the two suspects from the group of men. Although no identification occurred initially, the young man would ultimately identify two people – including our client – from that group as having been his robbers. However, the two men selected differed in material respects from the description the young man initially gave to the police on the night of the robbery.

RESULT: Our client was found not guilty of robbery.
